Online bi-lingual magazine Chenda.co was launched

Now the rhythmic beats of Chenda will usher a new era in the cultural sphere of India.

Online bi-lingual magazine Chenda.co was launched in a modest but energetic and momentous event at Chaitya Bhoomi, Dadar, Mumbai on 6th December 2024 at 8 pm. DU Saraswathi, a distinguished writer, theatre artist, and Dalit activist who has consistently argued that one’s community and oneself are twin constituencies, performed the launch. DU Saraswathi who is closely associated with women’s and Dalit movements across India need no introduction as she is a significant voice in caste and gender justice. She is one who believes that patriarchy has robbed men on sensitivity. As one who is interested in Buddhist philosophies, she has opined that there are two different kinds of learning in life, the first gives you knowledge and the second wisdom.

While launching chenda.co she, thanked Mr. Jayaprakash, expressing her happiness for inviting her to such a function. She said that parallel attempts like Chenda.co are very essential in today’s world and that today’s cultural atmosphere has started demanding it. She also added that “and hence I do expect and wish that the sound of Chenda is heard loudly all around.”

The introduction to Chenda and of dignitaries who attended function, held at Chaitya Bhoomi, the testament to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s relentless fight against social discrimination and for his vision on a more just and equitable society was done by Subodh More. Those who were present include Subodh More,Chaya Koregaomkar, Amberkraite thinker Dr. Dhammasangini Ramagorakha,University of Nagpur, Saraswatihi, Champavathi H S, Shankar Rajakumar, Disha K R (IITB,PhD), Durga K R, Narayanaswamy Gollahalli,Karnatka, activist Dr. Sunil, Artist Gopal Gangavne, Amit Kshirsagar, Journalist Bandhuraj lone, Jaiyavan Hire,Shashang Kamble,Swapnil Gedam IITBombay.
