വര്‍ത്തമാനത്തിലെ ഭൂതകാലം

ആര്‍ക്കെങ്കിലും ഇനിയെന്തെങ്കിലും ചെയ്യാന്‍ കഴിയുമോ?
ചില വരണ്ട സുഖങ്ങളിലേക്കും ദുഃഖങ്ങളിലേക്കും വളഞ്ഞുകൂടി,
പലചരക്കുപീടികയില്‍ നിന്നു പൊതികളായി
കൊണ്ടുവരുന്ന സാധനങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ
അവനവനെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവരുകയെന്നല്ലാതെ!
ചിലേടങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നെ നീ ചിലരുടെ ഇടയില്‍ കണ്ടുമുട്ടി
അന്നത്തേയ്ക്ക് അങ്ങനെയെന്ന് തൃപ്തിപ്പെടാറുണ്ടെങ്കിലും
അവസാനം നീക്കി ബാക്കി നിനക്കു നീ തന്നെ!

നിന്നെ നീ തന്നെ പിന്തുടര്‍ന്ന്,
പിന്‍ വരുന്ന സ്മൃതികളിലേക്കിറങ്ങിയും കേറിയും
അല്പാല്പം അന്നത്തെപ്പോലെ ജീവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും.

കുറച്ചുകൂടെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങള്‍;
ഇനിയും ചില ഓര്‍മ്മകള്‍.
അരുവികളില്‍ ഉറവ ബാക്കിയാക്കിയ ഈര്‍പ്പം;
വരണ്ടു പോയതിനുശേഷം
ഒഴുക്കിനെ ഓര്‍മ്മിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ജലശബ്ദം.
കൊഴിഞ്ഞു തീര്‍ന്ന ശേഷം കാലടിക്കീഴെ
കരകരാന്നു മുഴങ്ങുന്ന ഇലകളുടെ
ശബ്ദത്തില്‍ ഇലപ്പച്ചയുടെ കണ്ണീരൊച്ചകള്‍..
ജീവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിപ്പു തന്നെയല്ലോ വര്‍ത്തമാനത്തിലെ ഗതകാലം!.
കാലങ്ങളായി തുടരുന്ന യാത്രയുടെ അളവുകോല്‍ ജീവനസാധന തന്നെ.
ആര്‍ക്കെങ്കിലും ഇനിയെന്തെങ്കിലും ചെയ്യാന്‍ കഴിയുമോ?
കുറച്ച് ഈര്‍പ്പത്തെയും കുറച്ച് ഇലപ്പച്ചയുടെ തഴപ്പിനെയും പറ്റി
പറയാമെന്നല്ലാതെ.!

കവി യാക്കൂബ്

Kavi Yakoob is a well-known name in the world of Telugu literature, a poet, researcher, writer. Accomplished Master’s degree in Telugu from Osmania University and pursued M.Phil and PhD subsequently. His publications took off with ‘Pravahinche Gnaapakam’ (1992), Followed with ‘Sarihaddu Rekha’, (2002), ‘Yedategani Prayaanam’ (2009), ‘Nadeemoolam laanti Aa yillu’ (2016), “Teegala Chintha” ( 2019), and “Manushulraa Manushulu” (2023) were received well and placed a mark of their own in the Literature. His poems were translated into English and published under the title “Arc of Unrest” (2000), “Incessant Journey'(2022).

Yakoob has edited Eight books and has authored four books on Literary Criticism to his credit. He was honored with several awards over the years including prestigious ‘Nayee Dhara’ National Award, Patna, Bihar.

● Convener, Secular Democratic Literary and Cultural Forum (SDLCF)- at the time of Gujarat Massacre – visited Gujarat along with 28 Telugu Literary personalities and organised meetings in AP state.
● Convener, ‘Samooha’ Secular Literary n Cultural Forum.
● He served as a Advisory Board for Sahitya Akademy for five years.
● He is also founder of ‘Kavisangamam’, a Telugu Poetry forum with the 18,000 members.
● Founder of ‘Rottamaku Revu Poetryspace Foundation (RRPF)’.
● He got ‘Best Teacher Award’ from Government of Telangana, 2019.

● Retired in March 2020 as Associate Professor, Department of Telugu, in Hyderabad.
● He worked as a Principal of Mumtaz College.
● Presently he is serving as a President, Hyderabad Book Fair Committee.
